<p>Here are a couple of the methods that I use to build my own lists..</p>
<p><strong>The Article Marketing Power Method</strong></p>
<p>Create a three part article. Part one should be distributed to as many article directories as possible and, where permitted, have "Part One" in the title.</p>
<p>Your "Part One" article should then link to "Part Two" which you publish on your own website or blog. At the bottom of "Part Two" you should position an optin form that must be completed before the reader can continue to "Part Three".</p>
<p>Be sure to keep the best information back for "Part Three" but give them enough information in parts one and two to encourage them to click through to the next part.</p>
<p><strong>The Pay Per Click Power Method</strong></p>
<p>This takes a little bit of time to set up, but it's well worth the investment in both time and money when it's implemented properly.</p>
<p>Choose highly targeted long tail keyword phrases for your PPC adverts and be sure to set your maximum cost per click and campaign budgets so that you limit your expenditure (You don't want to bankrupt yourself within the first couple of days). Your PPC ads should offer a free white paper, or special report, and should "sell" the click to your landing page.</p>
<p>Invest in an attractive and appealing landing page that draws the reader in with a strong headline and a clear call to action. Be sure to emphasise the benefits of subscribing and stress the real value of the white paper or special report that you are offering in exchange for their name and email address.</p>
<p>Remember, first impressions are important and your white paper, or special report, should be well presented and of high quality.. especially the content. There are lots of good PLR materials available on which you can base your white paper or free report and, if you use PLR, be sure to add your stamp to it so that it reflects your personality and demonstrates your professionalism and expertise.</p>
<p>Obviously, your PPC advert drives targeted traffic to your landing page and, when the visitor has confirmed their email, they will be redirected to a page with the link to download their free white paper or special report. 			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Twitter is becoming more and more popular as it moves into mainstream awareness. You can virtually guarantee a boost in growth when you see celebrities jumping on board.</p>
<p>While I have my own <a title="Twitter" href="https://twitter.com/John_Taylor" target="_blank">personal Twitter</a><a title="Twitter" href="https://twitter.com/John_Taylor" target="_blank"> account</a> with around 6,000 followers at the time of writing. I have also been testing niche networking by setting up accounts to target specific groups based on keyword searches.</p>
<p>Although it's to early to report accurate recommendations, I can share with you some specific tactics that enabled me to grow the number of followers quite quickly and to generate a reasonable level of earnings from my efforts.</p>
<p>As you'll probably already know, I'm a big fan of automation and the first thing I'm going to suggest is that you invest in the <a title="Twitter Friend Adder" href="http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=948925" target="_blank">Twitter Friend Adder</a>. It's a desktop application that allows you to find followers on the basis of a keyword search and it will also identify other people's followers.</p>
<p>Now, some people may think that it's a "black hat" tool. However, if used responsibly I think it's a great time saver.</p>
<p>Let's just take a moment... There's an unwritten expectation that the rules of reciprocation apply to Twitter. That is.. there's an expectation that if you follow someone, they will reciprocate and follow you.</p>
<p>So, if you were to use <a title="Twitter Friend Adder" href="http://www.1shoppingcart.com/app/?af=948925" target="_blank">Twitter Friend Adder</a> to find a follow 100 people, you'd expect that those 100 people would in turn follow you. It doesn't always work out like that. In my experience you can expect around 80% of the people that you follow to reciprocate.</p>
<p>So let's discuss how to automate the next steps..</p>
<p>If you haven't already got a <a title="Tweet Later" href="http://www.tweetlater.com/84758.html" target="_blank">Tweet Later</a> account, then sign up right now. Inside your dashboard you'll see an "Account" tab in the right hand sidebar and when you click that you can add, edit and configure the settings for each of your twitter accounts.</p>
<p>When you add or edit your account you'll see that there's a "Optional Automation" where you can set an Automatic welcome message. I suggest that you simply say "Thanks you for following me. Click here to learn more.. [add your link here]"</p>
<p>Of course you should have a dedicated Twitter landing page where you they can download a free report.</p>

<p>First of all I took the first two chapters of the report and created a short 5 page guide which was packed with really useful tips and information.</p>
<p>I then modified the sales page by splitting it into two sections. At the end of the first section I offered the reader the first two chapters as a "Free, Try Before You Buy Trial" in exchange for their email address. The two free chapters were delivered as a link in an email <strong>after the reader had confirmed</strong> their subscription.</p>
<p>After confirming their subscription, the reader was redirected to the second section of the sales copy where I emphasized the benefits, provided testimonials as social proof, offered a "No Questions Asked" guarantee and closed the sale.</p>
<p>At the end of the guide containing the first two chapters there was also a link to section two of the sales letter. So that anyone who abandoned the sales letter to read the free content was encouraged to buy the full report.</p>
<p>I also put together a series of 17 short autoresponder messages, each containing a gardening tip which related to the report and provided a link back to the second section of the sales copy.</p>
<p>This approach was very successful and the sales conversion rate jumped from 2.3% to 3.4%.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>There's a quick and easy way of creating a product that I often use when I need a free report to give away in exchange for an optin or perhaps to offer my affiliates as a brandable report.</p>
<p><strong>Step 1</strong></p>
<p>Research your niche by searching for your keyword phrase plus the term "Frequently Asked Questions" or "FAQ" and this should reveal exactly what we need: the most frequently asked questions. Another source of questions are forums and it can be a good idea to start with the FAQ search and then validate those questions by seeing what the most topical questions on the forums are right now.</p>
<p><strong>Step 2</strong></p>
<p>Open EzineAticles.com in your browser and see who the top authors are in your niche market. Don't just look at the number of articles in isolation, look at the number of times those articles have been viewed too. Authors whose articles get high viewing numbers are clearly honing in on the right topics. Compile a list of at least 5 article writers, but ideally you are looking for ten people to respond.</p>
<p><strong>Step 3</strong></p>
<p>Contact everyone on your list of article writers, explain that you have selected them because of their expertise in this subject. Tell them you are putting together a free report consisting of exclusive articles from the experts in the niche and you'd really appreciate a contribution from them. Allocate a specific question from your list that you would like them to respond to. Explain that their article will include a resource box in which they can include a link to their site and that they will also get rights to distribute the report as a contributor.</p>
<p><strong>Step 4</strong></p>
<p>Collate the all the articles, including one that your write yourself, and create your report in your preferred wordprocessor. (I use OpenOffice because it has an in-built PDF engine) Be sure to give your report a catchy title, include an introduction, a table of contents and a "rights" statement.</p>
<p><strong>Step 5</strong></p>
<p>Create your PDF and distribute it to all the contributors. Be sure to tell them the benefits of distributing the report to their list. If all contributors give the report maximum distribution, then everyone will benefit from the resulting traffic when readers click the resource box links. Of course your links will have prominence on the title page and in the footer on each page.</p>
<p>And, there you have it a quick and easy method of creating a product.
