Can You Repeat That Please?

You've probably heard that the typical consumer needs to see, or read, something several times before they decide to take action. The myth and legend would have us believe that we should create seven autoresponder messages to maximise the sales conversion rate.

Being something of a contrarian, I have a slightly different take on how to set up an autoresponder...

Now, I don't have a problem with sending out multiple messages, in fact I strongly recommend that you go beyond just seven messages. The vast majority of my niche sites that use autoresponders have a minimum of 17 messages and there's a very good reason for that.. ...{+}

    Congratulations, with this blog model you have put yourself into the ranks with Howie Schwartz and Keith Baxter. Good Luck to you.

    Very interesting - it's always good to look at different experiences, what works for a while can change almost overnight sometimes without much warning!

    Easyjet is a good example of how one person changing the way things were done eventually changed a whole industry.

    Hah! Nice job John, you actually set up the membership site!

    Yes, and it's all your fault! If I hadn't read your blog post yesterday, I'd probably have put it off yet again. ;-)

    I should also thank you for something that you discussed on your blog some time ago. You mentioned creating the product, launching it and then adding value through upgrades. That's the model on which this membership is based. As the content grows, so will the subscription rise.
    I hate to admit it (not really ;-) ) but for a yank, you're a smart cookie!

  5. You go John! First I read this post from your Tweet earlier today, now you lure me here with a WSO link!

    Looks like a great project, I'm sure it'll rock.

    I have to admit, what you just mentioned here will assist me on one of my affiliate sites. I do not spend to much time on the affiliate sites newsletter but this tip which I have never seen before makes it much easier to do.

  7. John says:

    Thanks for all the positive feedback.

    It's really encouraging.

    Now all I have to do is keep it up! :-)

    John
